    Operation Stores and Stripes Contest

Sears Hometown Stores is proud of its longstanding commitment to the military. Our nation’s military heroes return from overseas with strong leadership skills and a committed work ethic resulting in many veterans succeeding as entrepreneurs. As you know Sears Hometown Stores are locally owned and operated by dedicated, hard working individuals that take great pride in serving their communities – a perfect fit for the military veteran with an entrepreneurial spirit.

I’m thrilled to announce the first ever Operation Stores & Stripes Contest - offering military veterans the opportunity to win a Sears Hometown Store.1  We will be awarding one deserving military veteran with their very own Sears Hometown Store. Now through June 25, 2010, qualified applicants 2 may enter the contest at http://www.searshometownstores.com/veteran/. Please share the details for this contest with your friends or family members who may qualify.3

This initiative is a wonderful way that we can give back to our hometown heroes and show gratitude to those that have done so much for our country. We look forward to working with the winner and supporting them as they successfully open and operate their very own store.

DOD Welcome home-small.jpg A welcoming home for our Troops.

Welcoming home our men and women doesn't end after the crowd disperses, it MUST continue on for the life of the Veteran! They've served us, now we will serve them with programs that work so they reintegrate into society.

We are a national public benefit nonprofit organization that educates American Communities about best practices to serve Veterans.  We honor their service by empowering Veterans to apply their training and skills to successfully transition to productive careers and enterprises.

The SWVBRC enlists the support of members of local Communities like you to increase Veteran awareness of the value of obtaining a VA card and receiving earned benefits.

Sponsorships, donations, volunteers and support from communities like yours enable us to reach out to Veterans and empower them to transition back into successful, productive enterprises that ultimately benefit all Americans and support future generations.
