Anthony, Super!!! It appears that we will have a good number of our Veterans joining you. This is a great event and an opportunity to learn first hand about the media industry.

Chip Dykes will be attending and one of our greatest supporters Maureen Haulpert might attend as well to share with you and the others what we have been doing at NAB for so long. As a matter of fact, the first non-profit I founded is Operation Interdependence and they will have a booth. I do hope you visit them and give them my best.

Right now, I am not certain if I will be attending. My priority is to make sure you and your fellow Veterans are the first to enjoy this week long event. I am anticipating about 15 total people. Some have not posted of attending, but I am sure by the weekend they will. Thank you so much for your service and this is what we do, make opportunity come to you and enjoy. Semper Fi,

P.S. For others that have not yet registered for their free exhibit pass, please let me know ASAP.

    Melisa,

Is your husband a member of our group?  If not, please sign him up as a supporter.

To all that have indicated they are attending, I will be your point of contact from here on out.  I believe this is a great opportunity for us to accomplish multiple missions.

First- this is a phenomenal networking opportunity.  The massive number of vendors at this event gives you ample opportunity to interact with, and find out more about their business and possibly increase your business.

Second - this is a phenomenal networking opportunity.  The massive number of vendors at this event gives you ample opportunity interact with and find out more about their business and what they can and will do for our organization and our Veterans.

Third - this is a phenomenal networking opportunity.  This gathering will give us a chance to interact with each other and demonstrate our level of committment to helping our Veterans.

A major mission of this organization is to grow our grassroots support.  Prior to committing to go to the NAB, I have to ask you to do some soul searching.  Since becoming a member of the SWVBRC, how many people have you signed up?  Have you truly dedicated yourself to our mission, or are you simply looking for a free room in Vegas?  I understand if you answer this honestly and say you are looking for the free room.  And if you are a Veteran, or an avid supporter of Veterans, you deserve it!

I am going to ask you to not take advantage of the hospitality of our sponsors for personal gain.  Do it for the group!  The task is simple, sign up at least 5 people between now and April 11.  Let's go to Vegas and have fun telling people our story.  Let's tell the story of that active duty service member that is going to need the help of the community upon discharge.

    Let's refuse to fail!

    Semper Fidelis!

    Chip,

Thanks for taking the time to volunteer and connecting with all our Veterans participating in NAB 2010.

While there, I invite you all to visit the Operation Interdependence booth. Here is a Link http://www.tvworldwide.com/events/nab/nab2010/ with more info. This is the first non-profit I founded and an all volunteer organization. During your visit, take some time to write a note to reach our deployed forces. Semper Fi,

I knew there was something else going at this affair. Do you need people to work the OI booth? I have done some reading on OI and it's a SERIOUSLY impressive organization. While I am not a member, I could be a volunteer and pass out information about BOTH non-profits, for a few hours to give someone else a break.

Going to miss NAB again this year - but one of our folks will be there. The broadcast industry is near and dear to my heart. I spent 10 years in it and used to run the booth we had at the show. Bring good shoes!

DOD Welcome home-small.jpg A welcoming home for our Troops.

Welcoming home our men and women doesn't end after the crowd disperses, it MUST continue on for the life of the Veteran! They've served us, now we will serve them with programs that work so they reintegrate into society.

We are a national public benefit nonprofit organization that educates American Communities about best practices to serve Veterans.  We honor their service by empowering Veterans to apply their training and skills to successfully transition to productive careers and enterprises.

We provide free vocational training 24/7 to all of our members through our website, in addition to local events.  We believe the tenet that American Communities are the ultimate beneficiaries when Veterans claim their benefits and invest in productive endeavors.

The SWVBRC enlists the support of members of local Communities like you to increase Veteran awareness of the value of obtaining a VA card and receiving earned benefits.

Sponsorships, donations, volunteers and support from communities like yours enable us to reach out to Veterans and empower them to transition back into successful, productive enterprises that ultimately benefit all Americans and support future generations.
