    Unofficially pay scale is in the ballpark of $17 to $20+ depending on experience, education, qualifications but is not advertised on the website. Moving expenses will NOT be provided.

    The Logistics and Engineering Solutions Business Unit has an opportunity for an Inventory Management Specialist in LEMOORE, CA.

    JOB DESCRIPTION: Scope: Under limited oversight, perform planning and scheduling tasks involved with coordinating supply chain functions through various phases of bench stock replenishment; establish and label bins, scan bins, process orders, receive and validate shipments and deliver material to bench stock locations. Identifies material shortages and establishes requisition orders for critical/work stoppage material requirements. Processes spot buys requests for critical items in coordination with purchasing personnel.

    Monitor bench stock (aircraft parts) activity and works with the customer to identify changes in demand pattern requiring reevaluation of established bin reorder quantities. Provides information to various management levels regarding material status. May handle special projects involving evaluating material shortages and resolution of problems to meet production schedules. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature.

    Must be energetic and confident with sound practical judgment and problem solving abilities. Must possess good communication skills (listening, speaking, and writing). Must be able to listen to and understand customer expectations and concerns and executing the program effectively to customer’s satisfaction. Must feel comfortable interacting with customers on a daily basis and briefing them as to current material status/get well date. Must be able to pass national background investigation check.

    May be required to obtain security clearance. Capable of lifting minimum of 40 pounds. Requires individual to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Individual must have a valid state driver’s license. REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: High school education or equivalent and 4+ years of technical training/experience in DoD supply system.

    Must have working knowledge and understanding of supply chain management systems, DoD EMALL, FEDLOG, and Haystack. DESIRED SKILLS: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Intermediate to advanced MS EXCEL. Experience working in Naval Aviation logistics. Associates degree or higher is desirable.
